We arrived home (Phoenix) at 4:30pm yesterday. It was 105 degrees.
This July was an adventure for our family. We will have life long memories.
We want to thank everyone for their hospitality, kindness, generosity, and patience. We love you all.

You're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat

Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies
Farewell and adieu you ladies of Spain
For we received orders for to sail back to Boston
And soon never more will we see you again
-- Spanish Ladies
I had an exhausting weekend. We had a big thunderstorm friday night that knocked out the power to my section of town until yesterday afternoon. So I kept going out somewhere then coming home later to see if the power was on, then leaving again.
I did go see the Jaws, 30th anniversery showing at the AFI Silver. I really like that movie.
Quint/Robert Shaw: "You go in the cage, cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water - our shark."
But I survived being thrown back into the twentieth century for a couple of days and only had to throw away a few dairy products.
You know that was the time I was most frightened. Waitin' for my turn. I'll never put on a lifejacket again. So, eleven hundred men went into the water. 316 men come out, the sharks took the rest, June the 29th, 1945. Anyway, we delivered the bomb.

Funny
Larry, you always have an interesting outlook on things. Just don't take any wooden nickels.
We have a 21 year old kid from Mexican working for us at the marina. He's the one with the green card. He has quite a sense of humour some times. Whitey carries a small backpack back and forth from the houseboat to the lighthouse each day that has various paperwork he always needs in it. On Friday Mauro says to Whitey (jokingly) ' Are you a terrorist? How come you always have a backpack?'
Stay safe,
Max

No Hiding Place, Down Here

Dad asked me about the safety of the Metro, that I take twice a day, in light of the attacks on London's Tube. The fact is that I haven't worried at all. Just the awareness of the general danger of living in the Imperial Capitol with all the orcs and what-nots gunning for us.
No hiding place, down here
No hiding place
There's no hiding place
Down here
No hiding place
And they went to the rock to hide their face
But the rock cried out
No hiding place
There's no hiding place
Down here
And the sinners are gonna be running
At the knowledge of their fate
They'll run to the rocks and the mountains
But their prayers will be too late
They forgot about Jesus
Not knowing the end was near
At the end they'll try to find a hiding place
When it comes their time to die
Revelations 6:15 -17
But in important news, James Doohan died today.
Second star to the right, straight on til morning.

Utah is green!!!
Today, we went fishing in the Provo river near Heber, Utah. We took a wonderful drive through Heber over Guard Pass through Deer Valley, near Camp Cloud Rim. I'm not all that sure of the exact area, but was it beautiful! Very green, very lush, lots of wild flowers, thick aspen trees. This is one of the reasons I came to Utah this summer. People are complaining that the temperature is 90 degrees and even 100 in SLC, but I love it. It cools down every night. There is nothing like the Rocky Mountains. My children and dog are loving it all. What a great time!

Movies
My opinion is that Angelina is a 'man-eater' and will toss Brad out when she's had her fun. I didn't think I wanted to see 'Mr & Mrs Smith' but Whitey does and we have some free tickets so will probably see it. We did see 'War of the Worlds' which was awesome but very scary. (Whitey is still picking my nails out of his arm). I'm possitive that the match of Tom-Katie is a publicity thing. Tom is completely full of himself but his movies are fun. After what he did to 'our Nic' (which is what the Aussie's call Nicole Kidman) I have no respect for him.
So that's my 2-cents on important things in the news. Hmmm Hmmm! We missed the Live 8 concert since we were at friends house. Have a busy weekend as I had to work at the other marina all 3 days in their store and launch ramp. Very busy and too much sun. We got our little runabout back from repairs last week so took it out on Friday for a trip up the Napa River. Then last night up the Sac. River to the next town and anchored and watched the fireworks there. They were basic fireworks but was so cool seeing it from the water again. It is great to have our own boat now - one of the reasons we are here.
Hope ya'all are having fun.

Max

Live 8
Did any of you see the Live 8 concert last night? IT WAS AWESOME! A bunch of singers and celebrities performed in front of a bijillion people in 8 different places around the world all at the same time. It was to raise money and get people to sign a petition to stop world hunger and poverty in the world (mostly Africa). My whole family signed the petition. Go to www. live8.com to sign the petition. It doesn't cost anything and it's for a great cause. I excpect all of you to sign it!

Celebrity Conundrum
Megan,
The Brad/Angelina/Jen situation is still confusing to me. I've recently been focused on the Tom Cruise/Whatshername/Scientology saga (which also confuses me). However, thanks to your inquiry I shall embark on an exhaustive research project to get to the bottom of the B/A/J matter and report it to the world (get your first report here!).

Brangelina- true or false?
What do you guys think- Angelina Jolie is the reason Brad and Jen broke up, and now Brad and Angleina are together
OR
Angelina and Brad are just friends.
I excpect you all to respond PRONTO!
*I think Brad and Jen broke up because of Angelina and now Brad and Angelina are together.*
