If you hadn't heard...
The Arizona Cardinals are in the Super Bowl this year. George was at the NFC Championship game yesterday here in Phoenix. The entire valley is VERY excited. Everyone at my house is rooting for the home team.
GO CARDINALS!

St. George weekend
After the Judge swim meets in St. George this past weekend, Duane and I drove through part of Zion Park (the girls were on the team bus). Zion was beautiful but cold.
Megan and Marisa at the swim meet in St. George.
Megan is counting laps for Marisa as she swam her first 500. The girls have been very supportive of each other with the swimming. It's been fun for them to have this year together at Judge. This next weekend is Regions in Park City- last meet to try to get State times. State Championships are first weekend in February. The girls have been working hard!
If you're interested- you can go to utswimcoach.com then click on Top 50 for 3A. You can see where Megan is ranked on many of her events. She close to the top in many of her events. Marisa is almost there. We are in awe of their dedication and discipline!
The Inauguration preparations- it is cool that you get to see history right there, Larry! We are watching everything closely on the news- but your photos are great.

We Got Ya History Right Here
The inauguration is turning this town into a zoo and I've holed up in my home for the duration. I've got a four day weekend and since they won't open the city up again until early wednesday, half of the people in my office won't come to work again until thursday.Last week was busy with my office going up to the fancy diplomatic reception rooms on the eighth floor for a picture with the Secretary. Security kept threatening us for touching stuff. They've got some nice stuff up there.
Walked by the Whitehouse on my way home to see the preparations.
Making a goat stew tomorrow.

Happy New Year
Happy New Year...
We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.
