Cribbage
We finished a charter yesterday with a group from Missouri. They were siblings (8) ages 47-66. Because of their age differences they had never been on vacation all of them. So they came down to the boat, no siblings or kids, for a week. Very fun to see. And they all got along.
But the cool thing was they were very into playing cribbage. So we got into the competition with them. I showed that Dad tought me well with only a couple losses. It made me think of Dad especially since this group was sort of from his neck of the world.
Love to all,
Max

So, Duane had heard about something called SPLASH DOG COMPETITIONS- and got interested in it. Since our Briley has such amazing running and springing abilities, he thought we should enter her. These videos below are her first attempts. You can see Duane and a Trainer (she has worked with Briley before)- trying to help her make her first jump. It was agonizing watching her- she wanted to get to her tennis ball so desperately but just wouldn't jump in. Of course, the Trainer said she has to decide to jump on her own (can't push her in). There was a crowd all around the pool watching intently to see if she would jump. Finally (2nd video) she went for it. The crowd cheered! She then participated in the actual competition and achieved a 9 foot jump. Her 2nd day of competition (yesterday), she jumped 16 feet. Duane is going out again today to see if she will go further. She is currently ranked 1st in her division. She loves it. She is bouncing around and howling the whole time and can't take her eyes off the other dogs when they are jumping- she wants to get up on the dock and help them. It is so entertaining.
In this crazy world with a lot of serious, stressed out issues going on- this is a great relief from it all. ...nothing like watching your dog jump in the water...
