Beads on Broadway

We have been very busy with "Beads on Broadway", a Mardi Gras production at church. Instead of a Christmas program, the director, my boss, wanted to try new types of music. It is a two night production on Feburary 4 and 5. Davis is part of a trio singing one verse of a song on Friday night. Yes, a big deal. Music will be from Sound of Music, Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera, Music Man. The choirs singing will be the Adult Choir, Advance Choir, Youth Choir (Davis), Teen and Lady Bell Choirs, Orchestra, and Contemporary Choir. We are in the parish hall--limited seating for 250. Hopefully, more in attendance than singing. They will be serving desserts and coffee.

It really is a fund raiser, but nobody is quite sure how many tickets on which night were sold. The great committee organization is falling apart. I am standing my ground and not allowing my boss to assign me more. I mainly keep track of the children's choirs. I work on parents to volunteer and get their kids to rehearsals.

Davis is excited. He loves the production stuff. I worry too much. Amazing, how these things all work out in the end.
