Happy Australia Day
I'm sure you all knew that the 26th is Australia Day. That is as big as the 4th of July. Just Wednesday will be a holiday. The fire works over the Swan River are great. This year we have some friends who are getting married that day. Then they are taking a small group of us out on a house boat on the river for the late afternoon and evening and see the fireworks. The groom is from Perth and interestingly, the girl is from Alabama and recently Atlanta. I think she likes having an American connection here. Should be a fun day. So have a Foster's for us, or better yet a nice white wine from Western Australia. Mmmmmm!
Well we now have a couple roommates. They have just moved in tonight. I work with Renata sort of, she is in a different division of IPA. We have become friends with her and her husband the last couple years mostly because of in-common things like diving, motorbikes (Andy & Whitey), and travel. They are building a house that won't be done until June and the house they were renting was sold from them. In stead of getting another rental they asked if there was any way they could rent a room from us for a couple months. After all the people that have help us out we couldn't say no. Of course the house is in its continuous mode of construction but have them here will help us in a lot of ways. It will be different but will be fun as well.
Whitey gets his red cast off on Tuesday - yeah! Freedom!!! He then gets a walking cast that he can take off when he sleeps. We have so much work to do on the house and he has work backing up from clients. Planning on being out of here just after Easter.
Well off to bed!
Love everyone,
Max
