Max and Whitey update
I thought I would give our 2007 update. No - I have not lost tons of weight but I have maintained going to Curves 3-4 times a week even in the frost and cold at 6:30 a.m. Feel better if nothing else.
The potential buyer for the marina is moving ahead. Still waiting for the final closing date but probably in March sometime. Whitey and I met with the new owner a couple times. He's a young energetic guy. Has storage units and small shopping complexes but knows nothing about marinas. So he is very much wanting us to be around for a while. He was blown away by the $50,000 request to stay on. But after we had got to know each other we discussed it and came up with a $30,000 incentive. This will keep us here until end of September. We're happy with the arrangement. He's got lots of ideas which will keep our enthusiasm up until September.
In the mean time we are looking seriously for the boat we want. We will charter the same type of boat in the BVI's in 26 days (counting the days). We're hoping to get the boat we purchase up to Glen Cove so we can work on it until October and then sail down to Mexico. We're planning on staying for probably 18 months there before heading for the South Pacific. So plenty of time for everyone to come visit. :)
Oh yeah - we are frantically trying to finish the lighthouse (well Whitey and gang are) so we can move in. We have to move in before we leave for the BVI's. So at least we can enjoy that residence for a few months.
And Whitey will go to Puerto Rico in April for the World Projects musical tour as a Tour Manager. If this works out they will keep us working next year from March until May, flying us from Mexico to wherever the tour is. (and we'll get paid).
So that's our update until now. Hope everyone is having a great year and not too cold. It's so great to have some goals to move towards and feel things happening.
Love ya,
Max
