See the WashPo article criticizing my office's work - or more accurately, echoing the people in State and USAID who have had their rice bowls broken. Fun bureuacratic battles. The final sentence I take personal, since I'm the poor bastard who is working late to get this stuff in some coherent state and all "undertaken behind closed doors under cover of darkness at Foggy Bottom."

In other news, it has been a fairly mild summer here. But they've still not added staff at work and my boss has been on leave for the last three weeks, so I haven't enjoyed much of it.

After seeing these commercials: here and here, I've been eating a lot more lamb lately. I like it with mango chutney. Don't be un-Australian.

Max, I was going to look into that eye stuff this fall, maybe a little sooner. If it works for you, it might help mine also. I had to give up on contacts three years ago and glasses work well but are irritating.
