Hello everyone:
I was speaking with Kay the other day and she mentioned the Family Blog. I’m so embarrassed I haven’t contributed for so long on it. It’s great to see all the pictures and what everyone is doing. Ellie – 50 looks great on you!
We’ve been having a great two months in the BVI’s. Have had a couple busy charters on a nice 53 ft. catamaran. Have caught up with old friends. And have visited some old favorite spots and found some new ones. It’s been a great decision for us to come down here, especially financially but also mentally. We’ve been honored to be offered a position as crew on a 85 ft. catamaran. Called ‘Lone Star’, it is the largest catamaran in the Caribbean. Go to www.lonestarcat.com to see it. We are waiting for the owner, who is French and in France, to make his final decision. But the manager who is here has said it is us. We leave on Saturday for St. Martin and then Venezuela with the current captain. At the end of that is when the owner will say his yes. But we’re positive and are pretty sure the job is ours. It is more money but especially as new challenge for us. The boat is primarily in the BVI’s with a few charters to St. Martin or Antigua.
We will fly from Venezuela to San Francisco early September for 3 weeks. Take care of business stuff, especially the yacht club, and make sure Gypsy Blue is put away safely.
Hope everyone is well. What we don’t miss when we are on the boat – political advertising. But what we do miss, sadly, is the live Olympic coverage. Oh well, the sacrifices.
Love to all
Max
