Report from Max & Whitey 10/17/08
We are safe from the Hurricane. We ended up taking a run out to sea heading South West to Guadalupe. After 16 hours with winds from 30-60 knots we dropped anchor at 4 a.m. Then took off that afternoon once the seas calmed down and we heard the hurricane was north and returned back to St. Martin. What a fun way to spend 48 hours. But it is good we left St. Martin as it came closer here than originally was thought. Virgin Gorda got the worst of it. :) Our Chef, Julia, stayed in a hotel in Miami and is flying in today. Then we are off to Tortola. Heaps to do before our first charter. (Can't wait to be back in the BVI's when we will have better internet access).
